General
Admission: All guests entering
the park must pay an admission fee. All guests must wear the appropriate wristband
at all times. As payment, we accept cash,
travelers’ checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover). No personal
checks are accepted.
Physical Requirements: The
activities in our park are participatory, some being physically demanding.
It is your responsibility to know all instructions and
your own limitations, physical capabilities, and swimming skills prior to participating.
If you are of a “non-athletic” nature or are “overweight” for
your body type, you are encouraged to use caution when choosing activities
to participate in.
Lifeguards: Thundering
Surf has over 80 trained and certified shallow water lifeguards for proper
ride dispatching and guest assistance. They are all here
for your safety and service.
Personal Articles: Glass
containers, alcoholic beverages, coolers, tubes, boogie boards are not permitted
in the park at any time.
Appropriate Dress: Thundering Surf is a family-oriented park. Appropriate swimwear
must be worn at all times. No “thong” swimwear or any offensive
or suggestive clothing is permitted.
Appropriate Behavior: Exercise
extreme caution when walking from place to place. No running is allowed at
any time. Obey all lifeguard and staff instructions
and observe all instructional signage. Failure to follow all rules, both written
and verbal, can result in serious injury to yourself or others. Violation of
rules, after one verbal warning, will result in immediate ejection from the
park without a refund.
Age & Height Regulations: Any
child age 7 years and under must be accompanied by a paid adult 18 years of
age or older. Any individual 42 inches or less
will not be permitted to participate on the flowrider double.
Lifejackets: We
supply lifejackets for no additional fee. We strongly recommend small children
and non-swimmers wear a lifejacket and be accompanied by a swimming
adult. Our policy is that any child 42 inches or less wear a lifejacket while
participating in the water activities.
Diapered Infants: All
babies and toddlers under the age of 3 are required to wear approved swim diapers
while in the park. No regular diapers are permitted
when swimming. Approved waterproof swim diapers are available for purchase
at the admission area or at our snack bar kiosk.
Lost Children: In
the event that your child or a member of your group becomes separated, inform
a lifeguard, a head lifeguard, or management. Lost children
are brought to our main lobby or main entrance gate and are supervised until
a family member claims the child.
Locker Rentals: Thundering
Surf provides token operated lockers to store your valuables for a nominal
fee.
Lost & Found: Articles
that are found will be kept in our main lobby for a period of up to 2 weeks.
Inclement weather: In the event
of inclement weather, Thundering Surf remains open unless there is severe
thunder & lightning
and/or high winds. The water park will reopen once the storm leaves the
area. No rain checks will
be issued unless the park temporarily closes due to a storm. Absolutely no
refunds will be issued.
